Whilst our volunteer editors will do their best to ensure our events listings are as up to date and accurate as possible; with the fast pace of how things are changing, it is inevitable that some will slip through the net. If you are planning on travelling for larger events, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly to avoid disappointment. We are putting in place new measures to give event organisers a friendly reminder to see if they wish to remove cancelled events, so we're sorry if it looks a bit bare in here :(

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for free, professional advice.

Events this Month

Nature, Natter and Nibbles, 2nd August 2024, 10:30 to 12:00 at Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre (20.9 miles)
Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre is set on a lovely, hidden nature reserve tucked away behind Didcot Power station. With meadows, ponds and woodland there is always something to see from spring snowdrops to autumn colour, wary foxes to dancing dragonflies - we even have our own new demonstration wildlife garden!
Join our learning volunteers for a peaceful, gentle stroll around the reserve, stopping to appreciate whatever takes your fancy. Visit the bird hide, peep into the ponds, pinch a raspberry in the vegetable garden and go blackberrying in autumn. Hot drinks and biscuits are provided, along with good company and conversation. The sessions are relaxed and informal with the option of a shorter route if you prefer. Come and soak up the nature!
The centre is accessible by car, bike and public transport (buses to Milton Park, and trains to Didcot Parkway with a regular bus link). You are welcome to bring your lunch to enjoy in the picnic area after the event.
We are committed to keeping our visitors, staff and volunteers safe. Please DO NOT attend if you are unwell, or testing positive for an infectious illness, such as COVID-19. Your consideration is hugely appreciated.
